I’ve launched something new — a podcast called Believe Survivors.
This isn’t just about stories. It’s about breaking silence, looking at the systems that fail survivors, and making space for the truths that too often get erased or distorted. Each episode is about saying: survivors matter, their words matter, and so do the lives they fought to live.
The very first episode is called “Call Them By Their Right Names.” It’s about the power of language — how words can be used to erase, belittle, or misrepresent survivors, and how reclaiming names and truths can be an act of justice. Too often, survivors are spoken about but not spoken with. This episode asks us to slow down and reconsider how we speak, who we listen to, and what it means to honor someone’s life and story with respect.
This podcast will keep doing that work — not shying away from what’s hard, not sanitizing what’s uncomfortable, and not letting survivors be reduced to labels.
