Announcing Miss American Pie: A Story of Survivorship

I’m excited to share that Miss American Pie is now available for presale and as a serialized experience through the Self-Discovery Portal. This book has been a labor of decades, weaving together my personal story with years of research, reflection, and investigation into the forces that enable sexual violence in the United States.

Miss American Pie tells my story, beginning with abuse by my father that started when I was three and a half, and carries it through more than fifty years of survivorship. It moves across childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and into the decades of reflection and research that followed. Along the way, the story follows the hidden patterns of power, secrecy, and control that allow sexual violence, especially against children, to persist in the United States.

This is not just a memoir. It is a witness, an investigation, a reckoning. It blends lived experience with years of research, uncovering the forces, cultural, social, and systemic, that perpetuate abuse and silence survivors.

The first two chapters are free, offering a glimpse into the story and the investigation. Paid subscriptions give access to the full serialized content as it unfolds, and presales are available for the final book in print and digital formats.

Chapter 1 – A Long, Long Time Ago

Chapter 2 – Let the Rain Fall Down Upon Her

Each chapter moves forward with tension and insight, holding the reader in the suspense of a life both stolen and reclaimed.

You can preorder the final book here and subscribe to the Self-Discovery Portal for access to serialized chapters.
